To ensure the successes of the Free and Open Source Project Fund can be replicated and scaled, the OSPO has developed a comprehensive playbook documenting all aspects of the program, available as a PDF download here, and coming soon as a community-editable document to GitHub.
The playbook includes a detailed overview of FOSSProF’s design and goals, clear descriptions of OSPO roles and responsibilities, and documentation of the processes used to identify, invite, and select projects for funding. To facilitate adoption by other OSPOs, the playbook includes templates and samples for public announcements, interview questions, proposal submission and review forms, and reporting templates.
